Scope:
Furnishing brand new Clinical Research Facility

Brief:
The clinical research facility had to be patient-friendly, staff-friendly and comfortable. Within a very tight footprint, the scheme was to include a reception, administrative areas, laboratories, family rooms, investigation rooms, meeting rooms, staff breakout and a children’s play room. Above all the furniture had to be robust and suitable for a clinical environment.

Solutions and TA added value:
Tsunami undertook an exhaustive sourcing program for suitable healthcare solutions and consulted with a large number of user groups. TA created a special nurses’ workstation that suited both the restrictions on space and which could be easily moved in an emergency situation. The play area was designed to double as an emergency corridor for beds.
